Women at Home: The Household and the Mission of God
Oct 5, 2019 • Sandra King
Between believing the gospel and advancing the good news in the world is the call to adorn the gospel as daughters of God (1 Tim. 2:9-10). To adorn the gospel as women means embracing the strengths, dispositions, and callings that God has given for displaying his glory in ways that only women can do (1 Peter 3:3-6). It means resisting the cultural pressure that reduces or eliminates the need for femininity by treating discipleship and mission as genderless pursuits (Titus 2:1-6). And it means trusting that God is wise and good, and that redemption entails adorning, not abandoning, all that he made women to be (Gen. 1:27).
